AMF & Synopsys’s long-standing partnership aimed at developing comprehensive EDA solutions for AMF’s process design kits (PDK), reached a new milestone with the launch of Synopsys OptoCompiler™ for AMF platforms.

AMF’s PDK on Synopsys is now expanded to include design enablement through Synopsys OptoCompiler™, along with physical verification solutions (DRC and LVS) on IC validator. Notably, this expanded PDK release introduces various productivity-enhancing features, such as flexible single and bus waveguide connectors, seamless abutment, photonic auto-align, and automated metal routing, among other advancements.

With this launch, AMF’s PDK platforms are now readily accessible across a wide range of EDA tools, supporting both layout-driven schematics (LDS) and schematic-driven layouts (SDL) approaches. This versatility is essential to reduce design cycle times and further underscores AMF’s commitment to deliver advanced and user-friendly EDA solutions.
